Plenty of other moms did the same so the chats started. Most have older kids who are in the public school and the big talk was lice and swine flu and how it as all going around and half the kids are out of school. The talk then turned to vitamins we need to be giving our kids to stay healthy, extra D, extra C, some D is coming in a dropper, where you can get it. My head was spinning. Then some one added that if your kids don't eat red meat you really need to give them iron. &lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;One of the moms was a &lt;span&gt;vegetarian&lt;/span&gt; and so are her kids so she was saying she was screwed, one thing lead to another and &lt;span&gt;Mcdonalds&lt;/span&gt; came up and she almost vomited just talking about it, I offered up the fact that I pretty much eat there 5 times a week. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Her reaction was quite strong, she was SHOCKED. That seems to be the key on how to keep and maintain. It has to become part of your life. You have to want it, and you have to feel that when you miss it for a day it is a priority that you make in your life. &lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Now I have moved on to nutrition and trying to change my lifestyle of eating for the better. If you read then you know I am a pretty &lt;span&gt;die hard&lt;/span&gt; fast food fan. One of the big themes of healthy eating is smaller meals 6 times a day. I am not sure about you but I get that starving I am going to faint feeling very easily. After that feeling (if I don't eat) I get CRANKY. This is not good. My husband eats a lot of bars, he has them in his bag all the time so if he gets that feeling he has a bar and he doesn't crash. I hate all those fake oatmeal, crunch, fruity bars - they taste like &lt;span&gt;Styrofoam&lt;/span&gt;. However, i finally found a bar that tastes good, that I enjoy, that I don't feel like I am eating to stay alive. &lt;a href="http://www.larabar.com/"&gt;&lt;span&gt;Larabars&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; are &lt;span&gt;delish&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The best part of&lt;a href="http://www.larabar.com/"&gt; &lt;span&gt;larabars&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; is that there are like 4 &lt;span&gt;ingredients&lt;/span&gt; and you can pronounce each ingredient name. I had the apple pie bar today and here are the ingredients, dates, walnuts,unsweetened apples, almonds, &lt;span&gt;raisins&lt;/span&gt; and cinnamon. YUM - that is it. This bar tastes great and fills me up. It is the perfect recovery bar after a workout, and a perfect snack for btw meals. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;TRY ONE NOW !!!! I am looking to improve my abs since i have been doing so much &lt;span&gt;cardio&lt;/span&gt; i thought it was high time we worked on some other things. &lt;span&gt;Pilates&lt;/span&gt; is depressing to me. I can not do it. Some how these other ladies are able to use their stomach muscles to pull themselves up without using their hands, elbows or a walking stick. I on the other hand have to almost roll on my side to get myself up ??? what the motherfucker. Now I am getting more and more convinced that i have &lt;a href="http://www.befitmom.com/abdominal_seperation.html"&gt;&lt;span&gt;diastasis&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;, you know that thing where your muscles never connected after giving birth, and the only way to get your muscles in shape is a tummy tuck. &lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;So going to &lt;span&gt;pilates&lt;/span&gt; is just a big waste of my time i feel like and it makes me think, wow i just trained and did a &lt;span&gt;tri&lt;/span&gt; and i still can't use my fucking abs ??? &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Anyway it depressed me. Much rather run 3 miles or spin class or a &lt;span&gt;strength&lt;/span&gt; class. I also want to try yoga and I know i will be even more depressed b/c i am a hunchback with no abs and less flexibility...but i will go and see b/c challenging yourself is what life is about. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;My calf muscle is pulled or something so i am not running, have a doc &lt;span&gt;appt&lt;/span&gt; end of the week, probably will get PT - &lt;span&gt;wahoo&lt;/span&gt; i get to spend more money.....such a wonderful feeling......my job is to spend money, groceries, gas, &lt;span&gt;bday&lt;/span&gt; presents, clothes, etc. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;as you can see i am one cranky mother. so what does a cranky mother do, she gets the big &lt;span&gt;bfast&lt;/span&gt; at &lt;span&gt;mcdees&lt;/span&gt; and feels NO guilt. i will confess to my nutrition lady, and get a smoothie later today.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;life is good. and i am oh well...who cares...&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;there are goals i have set for myself, challenges that i have wanted to do and i am proud to say i have completed them.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;i have always wanted to sky dive, and I DID IT, i did a tandem dive about 20 years ago. It was amazing and everything i thought it would be and i would do it again in a heartbeat.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;i have always wanted to scuba dive, after meeting my NOW husband he already has his certification and we planned a trip to cayman islands and i had to get certified, i did the quickie weekend deal. it was hard, way harder than i thought. i was held back in the class and it turned into 3 weekends. There was one part I could not get. You had to be able to remove your regulator (the piece in your mouth that enabled you to breath) you had to keep it out of your mouth while under water for a certain amount of time and then replace and continue to breath from your regulator while under water. I could not get it. As soon as I took it out of my mouth i would blow out very fast and then feel like i was dying for air and pop up to get my breath. Finally one of the instructors who had to take on my sad case explained it like this "pretend you are making the s sound, instead of blowing out." CLICK. it worked, after that i was able to take my regulator out for as long as i had to and even longer if need be. I took my open water test in the cayman and passed and now have my scuba &lt;span&gt;certification&lt;/span&gt; and we have gone on several trips. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I have wanted to do a half marathon. last year i trained and completed it.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I have always wanted to do a sprint &lt;span&gt;tri&lt;/span&gt;, this year i trained and completed 3 !!! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;what challenges have you accomplished ? what challenges are you working on ??&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;My latest challenge. YES. YES. YES.&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I also love sweets and &lt;span&gt;carbs&lt;/span&gt;. So this lady has a challenge on her hands for sure. Or I guess I should look at it the correct way in that I have the challenge on my hands.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Here is the first part, cutting down on the &lt;span&gt;caffeine&lt;/span&gt;. I drink ice t, and i drink it a lot. today was probably the first day in a good 2 years straight that i have not had an ice t from &lt;span&gt;dunkin&lt;/span&gt; donuts or some other &lt;span&gt;bfast&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span&gt;orientated&lt;/span&gt; place. And it was NOT PRETTY. i am a crank pot, i just about killed my husband.
