riddle me this ? Why do certain companies not accept Amex ? I realize there is a charge for them, but really don't they realize they are losing business by not accepting it ?

Sex and the city
I just got back from seeing the movie, and I loved it. I was concerned that I would not be happy with it, but they did a good job. I saw it with my 3 other girl friends, and it was great to see with them. I have shared many heartache, laughs and happiness with them. Made me miss the city.

maybe they are trying to save us from the misery that comes when the bill is due and we realize they have an insane monthly fee! No, that's just me.

Coming from someone who works in the credit card business... the fees AmEx charge are significantly greater tha MC/Visa. There are some businesses whose margins honestly aren't high enough to accept AmEx. While they lose some sales, they are better off losing sales than money completely. Costco is the exception, as they have a sweet deal worked out there!
Oh yeah... and glad you enjoyed yourself and the movie ;)
